About Us

Mission and History

Our mission is to create opportunities and provide a supportive environment to facilitate academic and athletic success.

The Connecticut Basketball Club (CBC) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that was founded in 2004 to allow local youth to compete in regional basketball activities. In 2005, CBC began traveling nationwide and quickly became known as one of the premier youth programs in the U.S. Buoyed by its early success, CBC has since partnered with smaller clubs around the state to extend its reach and provide more resources to local student-athletes.CBC has created opportunities for hundreds of student-athletes and their families – many of them earning prestigious private school and college scholarships.

CBC places emphasis on the importance of meeting educational goals in preparation for high school and college. Our experienced staff works with schools and parents/guardians to prepare its student athletes.

Programs

CBC strives for academic and athletic excellence. We’ve designed a number of programs that allow our members to pursue their athletic dreams while supporting their academic needs.

Basketball and Athletic Development

Our nationally recognized travel program includes boys and girls teams from 3rd through 12th grade and focuses on year-round development on and off the court. Our coaches work with our athletes individually and with their teams to improve their personal strengths and hone their basketball skills.

Academic Development

CBC provides members with the academic resources they need to develop into accomplished young adults. This model has prepared our student-athletes for successful grade school, high school, college and professional careers.

CBC develops an individualized plan for each student member with educational resources that include ACT and SAT preparation, core curriculum and NCAA Clearinghouse training and monitors their progress throughout the year.

In the latter years of high school and beyond, we work with students on recruitment and college placement, internships and professional access.
